The trompe l'oeil still life watercolours were made from 1978-81 and first exhibited as 'Good Eugh to Eat' at Dodo Old Advertising West London in November 1978. Further commissions by Gilbert/Robinson inc.Kansas  spread the series across the United States with large scale marine subjects featured in the company's Bristol Bar and Grill chain. Stufie such as The Strawberry alone gathered $10,000 revenue from prints, proving its wide popular appeal. In 2017 selected studies were produced as heat resistant laminated A4 size mats for use in table settings. Other accessories include a children’s tea party celebration and for event dinners ‘The Peach’ table cloth. Order from Philip James Studio.
